Mr. Mike Livingston

Director

BEd, University of Regina. MEd, Michigan State University. Graduate work on Doctorate of Education at the University of Calgary.

Mr. Livingston is in his 4th year as the Director at YIS. Originally from Canada, he has served as a teacher and school leader in international schools in Asia, Africa, and South America.

Mrs. Marisa Medina

K-10 Principal

BA, University of South Africa. MEd, Walden University, USA.

Ms. Seco-Medina has taught various subjects and classes in the elementary, middle, and high school. Her Masters degree is in literacy, she has a certification in Early Childhood education, and is a graduate of the Principal’s Training Center (PTC) for international school leaders.

YIS is a network of college preparatory schools that seeks to foster the development of the whole child, who is a participating global citizen and lifelong learner: one who is academically well-prepared, socially responsible, culturally sensitive, and personally fulfilled.

Established in 2004, YIS is well-established as a top school in Yangon and in Myanmar. We count 268 alumni graduates among our success stories!

YIS graduates have been offered acceptance to more than 200 universities around the world, including in the USA, UK, EU, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Australia, India, Canada, and Hong Kong. Others have entered military service or taken gap years to volunteer or do internships.
